Dr. Rawan Tarawneh is a cognitive neurologist who treats patients, ages 55 and older. She evaluates and manages memory and cognitive disorders, including mild cognitive impairment, memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, Parkinson's disease dementia, vascular dementia, and primary progressive aphasias. She performs comprehensive evaluations to determine the underlying cause(s) of cognitive impairment and create detailed treatment and follow-up plans.
Dr. Tarawneh provides world-class, evidence-based care in a welcoming environment where patients and their caregivers feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their journey with memory or cognitive disorders. She conducts clinical and translational research with an emphasis on novel biomarker and drug target discovery.
Dr. Tarawneh is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and division director of Cognitive Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the International Society for the Advancement of Alzheimer's Research and Treatment (ISTAART) and serves as an editorial board member on several scientific journals.
