Dr. Rania Farhat treats patients with pulmonary diseases, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary embolism, and acute breathing issues. She performs diagnostic bronchoscopies and cares for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Her clinical interests include post-intensive care syndrome (PICS), pulmonary embolism and chronic pulmonary disease, such as asthma and COPD. She runs the SLUCare Pulmonary Embolism Clinic and the Post ICU clinic.
Dr. Farhat is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
She is a member of the American Thoracic Society and American College of Chest Physicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Farhat enjoys knitting, swimming and dancing.
