Kirubahara Vaheesan, MD

Dr. Kirubahara Vaheesan performs procedures on adult and pediatric patients with wide variety of medical needs. Services include: state-of-the-art interventional oncology treatments; interventions related to solid organ transplantation; kidney, chest, gastrointestinal, prostate and gynecologic interventions; arterial and venous interventions; and trauma-related interventions.

Dr. Vaheesan's research interests include tumor ablations, liver transplant-related interventions, and ultrasound-assisted, catheter-directed thrombolysis (dissolution of blood clots).

He is a professor in the Department of Radiology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and serves as chief of Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Vaheesan is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association.
