314-268-4010Dr. Barry Duel is a pediatric urologist specializing in urologic reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, and pediatric voiding dysfunction. He is director of urology at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.
Dr. Duel performs laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive treatment of vesicoureteral reflux. His research interests include microbiome analysis to identify children at risk for recurrent urinary tract infections, and to develop more effective treatments.
Dr. Duel is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Urologic Surgery, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
He is a fellow of the Society for Pediatric Urology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society for Fetal Urology, the International Children's Continence Society, and the American Urological Association.
While attending Harvard Medical School, Dr. Duel founded Clowns on Call, a clown program at Massachusetts General Hospital, for which he received the Hewlett-Packard Outstanding Medical Graduate Award.
