Ayoob Ali, MD

Dr. Ayoob Ali specializes in airway management and resuscitation in newborns, and cares for babies with normal births as well as those born prematurely. He provides antenatal consultation, Level II-IV neonatal intensive care, and outpatient care in the high-risk nursery clinic. In his work with infants, Dr. Ali uses the latest technology, including the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) for difficult airway conditions and the extra corporeal membrane oxygenation technique (ECMO).

He is interested in research into neonatal LMA application for surfactant administration in premature infants without intubation.

Dr. Ali is an associate professor of pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Ali has also earned master's degrees in public health, business administration and health informatics.
