Dr. Edward Charbek treats patients with chronic and acute lung conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, asthma and pulmonary vascular disease. He sees patients in clinic and in the hospital, including critical care patients and patients requiring long-term hospitalization.
His research interests include management of COPD, as well as reduction of COPD admissions and readmissions to the hospital.
Dr. Charbek is an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
He is a member of the American Thoracic Society.
