Ali Malik, MD

Dr. Ali Malik is a vascular and interventional radiologist who uses image guidance for minimally invasive procedures to treat a wide variety of conditions. Using the latest techniques, he performs most procedures through a 3-mm skin incision in the wrist or groin with comfortable sedation.

His particular interests include restoring blood flow in blocked arteries and veins to help heal ulcers and avoid amputations; treating blood clots in the legs or lungs; embolization to shrink uterine fibroids and enlarged prostates; embolization of the portal vein to increase liver function before surgery; and embolization or ablation of liver/renal tumors in non-surgical or transplant candidates.

Dr. Malik's research interests include improving the quality of life for patients with arterial/venous disease and uterine fibroids.

He is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Dr. Malik is fluent in six languages.
