James Gerard, MD

Dr. James Gerard specializes in emergency care for critically ill and seriously injured pediatric and adolescent patients. His areas of expertise include pediatric resuscitation, pediatric sedation and pediatric asthma.

Dr. Gerard's research interests include sedation, asthma, and the use of simulation in medical training.

Dr. Gerard is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Emergency Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He is a member of the International Network for Simulation-based Pediatric Innovation, Research, & Education (INSPIRE).

In his free time, Dr. Gerard enjoys cooking outdoors.
