Guillermo Linares, MD

Dr. Guillermo Linares is a neurologist specializing in minimally invasive treatment of strokes, brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, atherosclerosis of the brain arteries and carotid stenosis. He offers a range of neurointerventional procedures, including retrievable stents for stroke, catheter angiography, and blood flow evaluation with ultrasound. Dr. Linares provides critical care for hospitalized patients, as well as outpatient evaluations.

A member of the MidAmerica Stroke Network, Dr. Linares is actively involved in stroke and brain hemorrhage research. He is the principal investigator on a National Institutes of Health-funded trial and with the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology Registry.

Dr. Linares is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

His memberships include the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, American Stroke Association, American Society of Neuroimaging and Neurocritical Care.

Dr. Linares hails from Mexico, where he still participates in community-based health projects.
