Dr. David Simon is a pediatric gastroenterologist who treats patients from birth to 18 years old. He specializes in treating pediatric inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as performing gastrointestinal endoscopy, and general gastroenterology and hepatology services.
Dr. Simon aims to provide the most up-to-date gastrointestinal care while forming close, therapeutic relationships with his patients and their families. His research interests include very early onset inflammatory bowel disease (VEO-IBD) and the developmental origins of IBD, including the impact of alterations in the gut microbiome.
Dr. Simon is an assistant professor with the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology in the Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
