Dr. Asif Aziz is a vascular and interventional radiologist who cares for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults, throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures that use advanced imaging to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions without the need for traditional surgery. Dr. Aziz has a particular focus on interventional oncology, providing innovative treatments designed to improve outcomes and quality of life..
Dr. Aziz offers a comprehensive array of procedures designed to treat complex conditions with less pain and faster recovery. His services include advanced vascular interventions such as angiograms, TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt), and transplant-related procedures; embolization therapies for bleeding, tumors, and conditions like uterine fibroids and prostate enlargement; and targeted cancer treatments such as chemoembolization, radioembolization, and tumor ablation. He also provides care for venous disorders, gastrointestinal and biliary drainage, nephrostomy, and catheter placement. For spine and bone health, Dr. Aziz performs kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty to relieve pain and restore stability. His goal is to deliver safe, effective care tailored to each patient's needs.
Dr. Aziz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology, section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is actively involved in research aimed at improving treatments for cancer and blood clot-related conditions.
He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiologic Society of North America.
Dr. Aziz is a St. Louis native and enjoys spending his free time with his family, watching sports, and being outdoors.
